Moments before Princess Diana’s crash death do to the paparazzi. This incident caused California to re-think the roles of paparazzi and what they can and cannot do. This sparked California to enact the anti-paparazzi legislation in 2005. 
Ellen’s famous selfie from the Oscars, was put on Wikipedia by a third party member and was asked to be taken down but was denied saying  a human actor cannot hold a copyright. The case is still pending.
